Mary is...

Mary Gagne is a New York-based Textile Design Director and educator with over fifteen years of experience designing across home and interior markets. She holds a Master of Fine Arts in Textile Design from the Rhode Island School of Design, where she graduated with honors, and a Certificate in Collegiate Teaching from Brown University.

Her work spans color, trend, print and woven design, and product development, with deep expertise in industrial processes. She has collaborated with celebrated designers including Kit Kemp, Marie Flanigan, and Frances Valentine, and has worked with manufacturing partners across China, India, Egypt, Turkey, Portugal, and Mexico.

Mary has taught in the Textile Department at the Rhode Island School of Design, where she has led courses in digitally printed fabric design, machine knitting, and hand weaving at the undergraduate level.

She lives and works between New York City and the Hudson Valley, where she is renovating a Victorian home. She loves travel, cooking, biking, yoga — and of course, textiles.
